Santander, Spain // International Exchange Student // Major in Translation and Interpretation

I’m an International Exchange Student who’s going to spend this academic year at Davidson. I was born in Cuba but at the age of seven, I moved to Santander, a small city in the north of Spain. I love meeting new people and especially learning from new cultures and, of course, trying their traditional foods. I like to spend my free time with my friends, listening to music, practicing some sports such as tennis or table tennis, or going to the movies. Back in Spain I used to be involved in some International Students events and leading the P2P Tutoring Program to help others with their English skills. During my training at the Language School, I discovered my passion for languages, since then I left behind my career as a Software Developer to fully work in the Applied Linguistics field. I’m so excited to be able to participate at SiDES!

Fun fact: I wanted to become an engine driver when I was little.
